IPESC: itSMF-International's Publications Executive Sub Committee
Publications are among the most important values of the international itSMF community. itSMF is not only playing an important role in managing ITIL, as a partner of OGC, but various chapters are also publishing important publications, ranging from pocket guides and textbooks, up to white papers, exclusive literature, websites, and downloadable templates. To coordinate the efforts of itSMF National Chapter publication efforts, the itSMF International Executive Board has installed a working committee: the International Publications Executive Sub Committee (IPESC), formed in 2003. IPESC has established a worldwide policy for publishing itSMF publications. Core in this policy is the strategy that itSMF chapters cooperate in the development of best practice itSMF publications.
IPESC has endorsed several itSMF publications for international use by all chapters. National chapters have produced a large number of other high quality publications, and at the same time there are several titles in progress.
REPRESENTATION - The IPESC has participation from 30 countries around the world and the committee is comprised of individuals nominated by their respective country Chapters for participation on the IPESC. The IPESC is the official point of contact for the OGC ITIL products and will be the official endorsing partner of ITIL?s next version of best practice guidance. The IPESC meets annually to conduct its business and maintain forward momentum in the genre of quality ITSM publications. IPESC work group activities have been hosted at ITSM PORTAL for several years.
