On the first day of ITIL my CIO gave to me a mandate to improve IT
On the second day of ITIL my CIO gave to me, 2 months to do it, a mandate to improve IT
On the third day of ITIL my CIO gave to me, 3 days of training, 2 months to do it, a mandate to improve IT
On the fourth day of ITIL my CIO gave to me, 4 software vendors, 3 days of training, 2 months to do it, a mandate to improve IT
On the fifth day of ITIL my CIO gave to me 5 big fat books, 4 software vendors, 3 days of training, 2 months to do it, a mandate to improve IT
On the sixth day of ITIL my CIO gave to me 6 phone lines ringing, 5 big fat books, 4 software vendors, 3 days of training, 2 months to do it, a mandate to improve IT
On the seventh day of ITIL my CIO gave to me 7 project managers, 6 phone lines ringing, 5 big fat books, 4 software vendors, 3 days of training, 2 months to do it, a mandate to improve IT
On the eighth day of ITIL my CIO gave to me 8 moving targets, 7 project managers, 6 phone lines ringing, 5 big fat books, 4 software vendors, 3 days of training, 2 months to do it, a mandate to improve IT
On the ninth day of ITIL my CIO gave to me 9 unclear objectives, 8 moving targets, 7 project managers, 6 phone lines ringing, 5 big fat books, 4 software vendors, 3 days of training, 2 months to do it, a mandate to improve IT
On the tenth day of ITIL my CIO gave to me 10 reports for writing, 9 unclear objectives, 8 moving targets, 7 project managers, 6 phone lines ringing, 5 big fat books, 4 software vendors, 3 days of training, 2 months to do it, a mandate to improve IT
On the eleventh day of ITIL my CIO gave to me 11 consultants typing, 10 reports for writing, 9 unclear objectives, 8 moving targets, 7 project managers, 6 phone lines ringing, 5 big fat books, 4 software vendors, 3 days of training, 2 months to do it, a mandate to improve IT
On the twelfth day of ITIL my CIO gave to me 12 process workflows, 11 consultants typing, 10 reports for writing, 9 unclear objectives, 8 moving targets, 7 project managers, 6 phone lines ringing, 5 big fat books, 4 software vendors, 3 days of training, 2 months to do it, a mandate to improve IT
On the thirteenth day of ITIL I gave my CIO – my notice!

Ha ha - delighted to see so many enjoying this bit of silliness ... now if only my more erudite and 'serious' work got this much attention :-)
